How did you meet?

We met freshman year of college and were very good friends before we started dating sophomore year. We’ve been together ever since.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

As we walked out of the church and neared the end of the aisle and our college friends burst into cheers for us.

What detail did you like best about your day?

The relaxed and fun mountain setting, as well as the incredible spirit of the wedding party and of all of our guests.

What’s next for you as a couple?

Various friend and family weddings, and continuing our wonderful life together in NYC with our families and friends!

The invitation and paper suite by Papyrus suited the “vision” of the wedding to a “T”!

fantastic meal as always from Joe and his crew!  No rubber chicken here!

I loved the peach favors – I used them for some pictures.

and end of the night at Evans Hall but NOT the end of the night!  This image is a perfect representation of the energy that was flowing when we all left Evans Hall!  (ps Terry rocked those stilettos the entire night!)

It was SUCH a gorgeous day!

I cant decide which picture I like better of Nancy and her dad…what do you think?

I LOVE emotional weddings!  (my 2nd that day caught this one)

I get asked a lot (especially for my southern weddings) if I do bridal portraits.  Given time, we can do them on the wedding day.  or, I also offer a special package deal to my wedding clients.  I shoot them classically

and, not so classically.

I also try not to take too much time for the couple’s portraits but keep in mind, the number that you get is directly related to how much time we have to work on the wedding day.

The cocktail was held in and around the Alumni House.

and then they walked to Evans Hall for the reception.  The hall was amazing.. but why dont we just look at the pictures no?  First of all, the floral details…

You will hear me say/write it again and again, NOTHING will have a greater impact on your photographs than getting a professional lighting designer.  (except of course getting an amazing photographer! )

The food was superb as well!

About midway through the traditional western reception, we had a change to a traditional Korean ritual!

It was QUITE funny to watch the “aunties” try to dress the six foot plus Heyward!

Catching of the dates and chestnuts…  (how many grandchildren will they give their parents?!)

The groom often gives a piggy back ride to his mother and then his bride, symbolizing his acceptance of his obligations to both his mother and wife.  In this case, Heyward’s mom graciously declined the ride…
