Personal Projects

As a photographer, I tend to prefer photographing people (of all kinds and in all ways)  It is easy however to get in burned out or in a rut, if you’re not careful.  I’ve been working in two very different ways to avoid that.  :)

#1 is I limit the number of commissions I accept for weddings and portraits.

#2 is I go out with a local photo club and “shoot” photo safaris.  I’ve recently added a third one but I’m going to keep that one personal for now – you’ll just have to check back! :)

In any case, last night was a photo safari night for our club and we decided to work on the 26 things project.  There was little chance of completing the entire list in the hour we had so I worked on refining my vision and really trying to be selective about the number of images I captured.  The 26 things list included “LINES” and “AT NIGHT”; I still can’t decide which ones are my favorites.  Please help?  Here are some lines and at night images – vote for your favorites in the comments!

LINES

A

or B

AT NIGHT

and, just because I can’t NOT take pictures of people…

    Allegra,

I like B (great leading lines) and B (even though it is brighter it accents nighttime) and all your beautiful portraits. Lisa sent me a link to your scavenger hunt photos because we were talking about some joint activities between BRPAS and RCC (our Roanoke Camera Club).
