I got to shoot Angelina Jolie’s wedding this weekend!!
Ok, not really but take one look at this bride and tell me if you don’t think she’s a dead ringer?!

We also had a gorgeous weekend! I love outdoor vineyard weddings in general and when its in the low 70’s with beautiful skies, well you just have to thank someone…

Dodging yet another hurricane this weekend! What a glorious wedding! The couple had the service commence with a gospel choir singing this is the day down the aisle - MAGIC!

They walked out to Oh happy day! CHILLS! And it WAS a happy day!

All the way through to the end!

Ya’ll do know the right people upstairs! Hurricane Hanna thankfully moved right on by this wedding leaving us with amazing skies, light and weather. Doesn’t hurt that the bride and groom are super adorable too!

Congratulations!
As a photographer, I tend to prefer photographing people (of all kinds and in all ways) It is easy however to get in burned out or in a rut, if you’re not careful. I’ve been working in two very different ways to avoid that.
#1 is I limit the number of commissions I accept for weddings and portraits.
#2 is I go out with a local photo club and “shoot” photo safaris. I’ve recently added a third one but I’m going to keep that one personal for now - you’ll just have to check back!
In any case, last night was a photo safari night for our club and we decided to work on the 26 things project. There was little chance of completing the entire list in the hour we had so I worked on refining my vision and really trying to be selective about the number of images I captured. The 26 things list included “LINES” and “AT NIGHT”; I still can’t decide which ones are my favorites. Please help? Here are some lines and at night images - vote for your favorites in the comments!

and, just because I can’t NOT take pictures of people…

You might remember these two from their engagement session earlier this summer…

Both the ceremony and reception were held at Valhalla Vineyards. The view is SPECTACULAR!

and a rocking image from my obviously very able second Logan Jarrard

Congratulations you two!

I’m so glad that my couples are getting their album orders in before the fall deadlines! Here’s a gorgeous book from a wedding up in Maryland.

I try to work with other photographers at least a couple of times a year; this weekend, I had the opportunity to work with Lacey Gadwill and gosh the wedding was just too short! We had a blast!
A big congratulations to Sarah and Clinton!
